I was first introduced to Equine Assisted Services when my husband participated in a therapeutic group program for veterans suffering from PTSD.
Horses changed the trajectory of his life and mine. First as a client at Horses of Hope, then as a volunteer, I decided that I wanted to pursue Equine Assisted Services as a career.
I recently graduated from Oregon State University with my Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Equine Science, Agricultural Education and Psychology where I also became certified in Equine Facilitated Learning from the HERD Institute. Horses can forever change our lives, I know they did mine.
