Hello! My name is Bailey Pedersen, and I'm a barn care assistant and one of your equine specialists. My whole life has revolved around two things: cattle and horses. I grew up on my family ranch in Scio, Oregon, raising feeder cattle, bucking cattle, and bucking bulls - all while using my ranch ponies to help me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of riding many incredible horses, whether they were bred for rodeo, cutting, team penning, or everyday ranch work. Some days I’ve spent just a couple of hours in the saddle, and others I’ve spent eight and I’ve loved every minute of it. So, to say the least, I'm pretty used to horses and their many quirks they may bring, but that's what makes it all the more fun. They’ve shaped me into a better human being, and now that I am working with the horses at Horses of Hope, I get to witness every day something even more powerful - how a bond with a horse can heal, inspire, and change lives.
