Hi! My name is Jen and I recently joined the Horses of Hope team in January of 2025. I was a professional brewer for 20 years and in 2024 they closed down the brewery I was working in. Searching for a new job was a challenge as there wasn't a lot available in the industry I had been in for so long. I was applying for many different jobs but to no avail until one day I saw the posting for Horses of Hope. I had worked with horses throughout high school and into my early 20s with a training background in Western Pleasure. Not having worked with horses for 30 years I wasn't quite sure if I would be a good fit but had to at least give it a try. Upon getting hired I was able to immerse myself in sessions, barn care and helping out with facilities for the company. Being here has helped me meet with so many amazing people, reconnect with my love of horses and be part of a dynamic team that helps me grow as a human being. My Mom has a saying to always look for the magic in the world we live in.
